Training – Basic Mechanical Self-Sufficiency
Location: Bicycles Quilicot Mascouche
Duration: Approximately 3.5 hours
Training time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Target audience: This course is designed for all cyclists looking to improve their mechanical autonomy
Prerequisites: None
Minimum age requirement: 14 years old
Program overview:
• Wheel removal and installation (flat tire situations and bike transport cases)
• Flat tire repair and tire replacement (understanding tubeless vs. inner tube systems)
• Headset adjustment (general condition check and basic adjustment)
• Building a basic tool kit (saddle bag essentials)
• At-home chain maintenance (cleaning and lubrication)
• Identifying normal wear on consumable components (brake pads, chain, and tires)
Included:
• Use of a Park Tool repair stand and professional-grade tools
• Maintenance products (lubricants, cleaners, etc.)
• Exclusive in-store discounts on parts and tools on the day of the training
