AEP Bicycle Mechanics: Turn your passion into a profession!
Graduates of the second cohort of the AEP in Bicycle Mechanics from the CFP des Moulins had the opportunity to carefully maintain the mountain bike fleet of Loisir et Sport Lanaudière during the 645-hour training program, which takes place directly at Bicycles Quilicot's head office in Mascouche. A winning initiative for all !

Thus, at the end of the program, which began on October 10, the graduates will have benefited from the work-study alternation, while users of Loisir et Sport Lanaudière's services will have the chance to ride well-maintained and safe bicycles.
This collaboration perfectly aligns with the respective missions of the organizations involved:
"I want to express my pride and our team's agility in partnering with businesses and community organizations to meet various needs, including workforce demands," says Ms. Gaboury, director of the Centre de formation professionnelle (CFP) des Moulins.
"Loisir et Sport Lanaudière is extremely proud to be part of this community partnership. We firmly believe that these initiatives are essential to strengthen our ties with the community and to create an environment conducive to an active and healthy life for all residents of Lanaudière," states Daniel Ricard, vice-president of Loisir et Sport Lanaudière's board of directors.
Marc-André Lebeau, President and CEO of Bicycles Quilicot:
"If you chose this training, chances are it's out of passion. You are important to cyclists, and your dedication and professionalism make a difference. Be proud to be bicycle mechanics professionals!" says Mr. Lebeau.
This 645-hour training, recognized by the Ministry of Education, aims to train specialists in bicycle mechanics who meet market demands. All graduates have already found employment in various regions, particularly in Lanaudière, with the following companies: Bicycles Quilicot, Cycles Dupuis, and L'Atelier Clandestin.
The 3rd cohort will begin on October 15, 2024, and end on April 16, 2025, just in time to be available for work during peak season.
Schedule and pedagogy: Theoretical and practical training is given from Monday to Wednesday from
3 p.m. to 10:10 p.m. at Bicycles Quilicot's head office located at 401 Louis-Blériot Street in Mascouche.
Practical training in the company of your choice (internship) generally takes place between Thursday and Sunday for 12 hours per week. The internship days schedule can be during the day or evening.
