Training – Basic Bike Maintenance Autonomy
Where: Bicycles Quilicot Mascouche
Duration: approximately 3.5 hours
Training begins at 9:00 AM / Ends at 12:30 PM
Target audience: This course is designed for cyclists who want to improve their mechanical independence
Prerequisite: None
Minimum age required: 14 years old
Important: Participants must bring their own bicycle for the training. All types of bikes are accepted, except electric bikes.
Program:
• Removing and installing wheels (flat repair and transport box)
• Flat tire repair and tire replacement (understanding tubeless vs inner tubes)
• Headset adjustment (inspection and adjustment)
• Building a basic repair kit (saddle bag essentials)
• Chain maintenance at home (cleaning and lubrication)
• Identifying normal wear on consumable components (brake pads, chain, and tires)
Included:
• Use of a Park Tool repair stand and professional tools
• Maintenance products (lubricants, cleaners, etc.)
• Exclusive in-store discount on parts & tools on the day of the training (products in stock at Mascouche only)
