The last few years have seen the emergence of a veritable revolution in the world of cycling, with the development of virtual cycling and indoor training, now an essential part of cycling. The market is evolving rapidly, and constant innovations are emerging. With this in mind, Wahoo has unveiled two new models for indoor training: the
Wahoo Kickr Move
home trainer and the
Wahoo Kickr Bike Shift
stationary bike.
Originator of the Kickr Climb slope simulator and the Kickr Wind wind simulator, the American brand continues in its innovative spirit by presenting the very first training base incorporating a multi-dimensional platform, the Kickr Move. Simultaneously with this launch, Wahoo also announced the availability of the Kickr Bike Shift, a complete stationary bike positioned as a more affordable option than its predecessor.
Wahoo Kickr Move : an innovative home trainer with a multi-dimensional platform
The Wahoo Kickr Move builds on the success of the Kickr platform by incorporating dual-axis movement, allowing your bike to move freely as if it were moving in mid-air. This feature provides sensations close to those experienced outdoors, particularly during the dancing phases. For fans of virtual racing or indoor training, this feature enhances realism without requiring investment in a separate mobile platform.
The Kickr Move shares many features with the current Kickr, including +/-1% power measurement accuracy and a maximum system-applicable resistance of 2,200 watts. The drive base comes with an 11-speed cassette, and the body is compatible with Shimano/Sram systems.

In terms of total weight, the addition of the displacement system logically results in an increase to a total load of 29 kg. The Kickr Move training base is designed to integrate seamlessly into the Wahoo ecosystem. To pair it with the Kickr Climb slope simulator, adoption of the corresponding Kickr Climb Base Adapter will be required.
Wahoo Kickr Bike Shift : a more affordable alternative to connected stationary bikes
Wahoo has also unveiled a new full-featured stationary bike to expand the range alongside the Kickr Bike. The Kickr Bike Shift offers a more affordable price than the existing Kickr Bike, while retaining the same electronic braking and belt drive system, guaranteeing rapid resistance changes and realistic simulation.
This stationary bike features a virtual shifting system on the handlebars. By adjusting the number of teeth on the chainrings and cassette, you can faithfully reproduce the gear changes of your usual bike.
Unlike the original Kickr Bike, the Kickr Bike Shift remains static and doesn't feature arms for inclining the bike downhill or uphill, and it's mainly this point that justifies the price difference. However, virtual slope retranscription is present, simulating slopes ranging from -15% to +20%. To ensure precise adjustment of the bike and guarantee an optimal experience, Wahoo has developed an in-app guide, allowing you to set each component of the five-point adjustment system, according to your measurements.
So this year, Wahoo is offering two great innovations to make your indoor training even more realistic, and guarantee you the sensations of an outdoor outing, while staying warm at home ;)
