The Keo Blade 2 is the result of a long process undertaken by LOOK engineers to optimize all the innovative concepts that were developed for the Keo Blade Carbon. The Keo Blade 2 is a more comfortable, more stable, lighter, and more powerful pedal. Its design fully integrates the blade for improved aerodynamics.
A Very Reliable Model
Particular attention has been paid to reliability: a high-strength body, a stainless steel bearing surface, and an oversized pedal axle with double sealing make this pedal a very safe and durable product. Pedal Axle Profile: To achieve greater efficiency, the new Keo Blade 2 axle has reduced the stack height using an oversized Chromoly axle. It consists of two miniature ball bearings: the first with an inner diameter of 12 mm x outer diameter of 18 mm, the other with an inner diameter of 6 mm x an outer diameter of 12 mm, and a needle bearing. LOOK axles are approved after a rotation test of 2 million cycles at 100 rpm with a load of 90 kg on the center of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (creating a shock with each turn). This test is much more demanding than the current standard: EN14781. Double sealing ensures that these bearings have a very long lifespan.
