The magped safety pedal is the innovation in pedals for mountain bikes and e-bikes. Thanks to the patented magnetic mechanism, it is possible to remove the foot from the pedal safely, quickly and easily at any time. The risk of falling and injury is reduced to an absolute minimum compared to pedals with fixed connections - and the head remains free to ride without fear.
Round pedaling
The magped pedal allows for round pedaling, since the extensor muscles (70%) and the flexor muscles (30%) of the leg muscles are used equally. This makes even longer bike rides a pure pleasure.
Weight
The magped pedal is a modern, high quality flat pedal made of lightweight CNC milled aluminum and a CrMo spindle. The weight, including the patented magnet system, is only 452 g (100 N magnet) or 474 g (150 N magnet) per pair.
Position
The pedal allows for a slight rotation of the shoe and thus protects the joints when pedaling. The position can also be changed forwards and backwards without changing the traction force, making it easy to find the ideal position for ascents and descents.
Pulling force
Depending on the selected magnetic force, the shoe is held magnetically on the pedal with a pulling force of up to 15 kg. The pulling force acts mainly vertically and a lateral release of the pedal is possible almost without noticeable resistance. But also a quick and easy removal in critical situations directly upwards is not a problem.
Technology
The magped pedal is equipped with 3 high quality sealed industrial ball bearings. The spindles of the pedal can be changed if necessary. The height of the high performance neodymium magnet is adjustable by means of a special integrated polymer suspension.
