All of the materials used in the construction of Blivet's Quilo 3 boots were carefully considered, with an eye toward keeping them as light as possible, as well as providing thermal insulation that can withstand the rigors of winter.
To achieve their goals, the boots feature 200 grams of 3M™ Thinsulate insulation as well as a highly effective ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) thermal wall in the outsole. Blivet pays special attention to protecting against cold transmitted through the inner wedge plate, but also throughout the outsole, which includes their state-of-the-art "LISZT AIR TOEBOX" reinforcement featuring extraordinary toe volume.
The Quilo 3's are comfortable during walking portions, with superior ankle flexibility without compromising rigidity thanks to the Vibram® North Sharp-Claw outsole that provides excellent power transfer during pedaling. They are compatible with all 2-bolt pedals and have eyelets for attaching gaiters.
They have two sets of laces that facilitate adjustment of the foot and ankle area for optimal comfort. Plus, with a wide calf strap that's more than 21 cm off the ground, snow will never get to you.
It's safe to say that their goals are brilliantly met: the Quilo 3s are without a doubt the lightest in the industry, and among the warmest.
