Feedback Sports: professional-grade bike repair stands

From a digital scale to the portable workshop

Feedback Sports was founded in 2004 by Doug and Lisa Hudson, from their home in Golden, Colorado, where the brand is still headquartered. Doug, a keen cyclist and racer, was then working in fibre optics. His first product was the Alpine digital scale, for weighing a bike. Repair stands joined the line in 2008, when the Hudsons took over Ultimate's. Today the brand also offers precision tools, storage and training hardware.

What the range covers

The selection carried at Bicycles Quilicot focuses on repair stands, from the workshop to the carry bag.

  • Pro Mechanic: the newest and most popular in the line, with a Speed Ratchet clamp head and, according to the brand, 110 % more holding force than the previous generation.
  • Pro Ultralight: ultralight and compact when folded, designed for transport, event support and home mechanics on the move.
  • Mechanic 2.0: professional-level features for the home mechanic, with a compact tool tray and an anodised aluminium base.

Which repair stand to choose

If the stand stays in the workshop, ease of adjustment and stability come first. If you carry it in the car, for a race or a ride, the folded size and weight become the main criterion. Before choosing, check the maximum weight the stand supports, especially if you work on an e-bike, and how the clamp head holds your frame.
