DHarco: relaxed-style mountain bike apparel

Born on Sydney's Northern Beaches

DHarco is an Australian mountain bike apparel brand. Its founder, downhill racer Mandy Davis, couldn't find clothing that suited her: comfortable, stylish and wearable off the bike too. After two years of design and research, she unveiled a first collection in 2014 at a round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Cairns. The idea: bring the easygoing look of surf culture to the trails, with technical fabrics and cuts designed for riding.

What the range covers

The selection carried at Bicycles Quilicot dresses you from head to toe, with women's cuts and kids' styles as well.

  • Jerseys and tees: light, breathable jerseys in recycled polyester, and technical or organic cotton tees, for the ride and the rest of the day.
  • Shorts and pants: stretchy, hard-wearing fabrics that go from a trail descent to a swim after the ride.
  • Gloves: light and breathable, to keep control of the bars.
  • Protection: elbow and knee pads built with RHEON technology, which stays soft while you ride and reacts on impact.
  • Caps and beanies: to round out the outfit, on and off the bike.

How to kit yourself out

For trail riding, go for stretch shorts and a breathable jersey you can wear on its own when it's warm. Protection has to stay in place while you pedal, not just while you stand: try it on with your full kit before you commit.
