Founded by Arc'teryx alumni
7mesh launched in 2014 in Squamish, British Columbia, founded by three Arc'teryx alumni: Tyler Jordan, who led the outdoor apparel maker as CEO, Ian Martin, its design director, and Calum Davidson, its supply chain director. Their starting point: cycling apparel had fallen behind technical outerwear. Since then the brand has applied mountaineering methods — taped seams, breathable membranes, in-house prototyping — to gear built for mountain biking, gravel and everyday riding.
What the range covers
The selection at Bicycles Quilicot focuses on light layers and versatile pieces — the ones that work on the trail and still work once you step off the bike:
- Trail shorts: the Farside 9" for men and 8" for women — clean cut, quick-drying stretch fabric, discreet enough to wear off the bike.
- Technical tops: the Atlas tee (men's and women's) for jersey performance without the jersey look, the Roam merino for long days, the Podium for everyday wear.
- Chamois liners: the Foundation boxer and liner, worn under regular shorts for bib-short comfort without the bib.
- Pants and accessories: the Glidepath pant for cooler seasons and the GO cap for after the ride.
The name and the logo
7mesh isn't a word: it's a nod to Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh, the Squamish Nation's name, where the numeral 7 marks a glottal stop the Roman alphabet cannot write. The logo draws on two peaks above the town: the 7 traces Nch'kay (Mt. Garibaldi) and the m follows the curves of Siyám Smánit (the Stawamus Chief).
