Specialized Levo 4 EVO — The electric mountain bike built for enduro

There are electric mountain bikes designed for versatile trails — and then there's the Levo 4 EVO. Specialized doesn't do subtle: this bike exists for riders who don't choose their terrain, who descend steep chutes, ride bike parks without looking for a gondola ride, and want a bike that remains calm when things get rough.
This is electric enduro. The Levo 4 EVO is the latest — and most radical — member of the Turbo Levo family. Here's what you need to know about this new model.
The Levo 4 EVO is designed for terrain that demands total control at high speed. The Turbo 3.1 motor: smooth power delivery
The Levo 4 EVO is powered by the Specialized Turbo 3.1 motor — 810 watts peak power, 105 Nm of torque. On paper, it's impressive. In practice, what sets this system apart is the quality of power delivery.
No surges, no jerks. The motor continuously reads the rider's torque, cadence, and speed to precisely modulate assistance, maintaining a natural feel even in technical sections. On a steep climb with little traction, this makes the difference between spinning out and climbing. The system also includes adaptive traction control — algorithms adjust power in real-time to keep the wheel hooked up, from wet roots to full-speed descents.

The very definition of an enduro bike is its ability to absorb impacts without compromising control. The Levo 4 EVO achieves this with 180 mm of front travel / 170 mm rear travel, coupled with Ride Dynamics kinematics specifically developed for this frame.
The geometry is intentionally aggressive: 63.6° head tube angle, generous reach (from 425 to 525 mm depending on size), 356 mm bottom bracket height. This is a planted position, calculated for demanding terrain. The wheel setup is mullet: 29 inches at the front, 27.5 inches at the rear — the combination that maximizes front roll-over and rear agility on steep trails.
The RockShox Vivid Ultimate Air shock (Pro model) — with adjustable low-speed compression and rebound.
Aggressive geometry and Turbo 3.1 motor: the Levo 4 EVO climbs as well as it descends.Battery and range: configurable for your use
The standard battery is 840 Wh — sufficient for long rides and bike park days. For rides over four hours, a 280 Wh Range Extender can be added (sold separately, cable included). Specialized also offers a 600 Wh battery option for those who prioritize agility over weight. All batteries are IP67 certified.
The standard charger is 4 amp. A smart 12 amp charger (700W) is available as an option and can go from 0 to 80% in less than an hour, with an Eco mode to preserve battery life.
With 840 Wh and the optional Range Extender, the range keeps up with long days.Onboard technology: the Mastermind TCU
The Levo 4 EVO is equipped with the Mastermind TCU — a 2.2-inch color display fully customizable via the Specialized app. The app allows you to create custom assist modes, track ride data, connect an Apple Watch, and activate Apple Find My for bike location.
Updates are deployed over-the-air (OTA) — the system improves over time without needing a shop visit.

Two trim levels at launch, same FACT 11m carbon frame, same motor, and same battery:
| Levo 4 EVO Comp | Levo 4 EVO Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $10,999 CAD | $15,799 CAD |
| Fork | RockShox ZEB Select 180mm | RockShox ZEB Ultimate 180mm |
| Shock | Vivid Select Air | Vivid Ultimate Air (RCT2, HBO) |
| Drivetrain | SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS | SRAM X0 Eagle AXS |
| Wheels | Specialized Alloy | Traverse HD Carbon (DT Swiss 350) |
| Seatpost | Xfusion Manic | Bike Yoke Revive Max 3.0 |
| Weight (S4) | 25.16 kg | 24.4 kg |
The main difference between the two lies in the suspension components and wheels. The Pro offers shocks with more adjustments (including low-speed compression and rebound on the Vivid Ultimate), as well as significantly lighter Traverse HD carbon wheels. For the demanding rider, the upgrade is justified. Otherwise, the Comp delivers the exact same platform.
Comp or Pro — same ambition, same frame, same motor. The choice is made based on suspension and wheels.Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Levo 4 EVO and the standard Levo 4?
The standard Levo 4 is a versatile trail bike (160/150 mm). The Levo 4 EVO is specifically designed for enduro and bike park riding: 180/170 mm of travel, more aggressive geometry, and components calibrated to handle real impacts. It's a different category.
Is the Levo 4 EVO suitable for an intermediate rider?
It is designed for technical riders who want to push themselves on demanding terrain. An intermediate rider who mainly rides moderate trails will likely find the standard Levo 4 more suitable for their use.
What is the actual range of the Levo 4 EVO?
With the 840 Wh battery and the 280 Wh Range Extender, Specialized claims up to 5 hours of range. In practice, the range varies depending on the assist mode, elevation gain, and rider weight. For a full day at the bike park with shuttles, the standard battery is generally sufficient.
Is the Levo 4 EVO available at Bicycles Quilicot?
The Levo 4 EVO is a new model that is not yet in stock at Bicycles Quilicot. Specialized is one of our brands — to pre-order or check upcoming arrivals, please contact one of our in-store advisors.
Is the frame the same on both models?
Yes — both models share the same FACT 11m carbon frame with adjustable geometry (adjustable head tube angle and chainstay length), integrated SWAT Storage, and 12x148 mm dropouts. The difference lies in the suspension components, wheels, drivetrain, and seatpost.
Conclusion
The Levo 4 EVO is a direct answer to a simple question: can an electric mountain bike truly perform on the most demanding terrain, without compromise? Specialized's answer is yes — provided it is equipped and calibrated accordingly.
Two models, one frame, identical motor. The choice between the Comp and the Pro depends on your budget and the level of suspension adjustment you're looking for. In both cases, the ambition is the same: to ride harder, farther, on terrain that most bikes can't handle.
