On September 10-11 in Montreal and September 24-25 in La Mauricie National Park, the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) at the University of Montreal is organizing the IRIC Great Challenges Against Cancer, a series of athletic and charitable challenges for research. Canadian cancer statistics from 2015 predict a 40% increase in cancer cases over the next 15 years, meaning that research will become increasingly essential in the fight against cancer.
Courses offered – choose your challenge!
Runners can test the steep trails of Mount Royal (5 and 10 km) or La Mauricie National Park (several possible routes), while cyclists can take on the challenge of climbing the equivalent of Mont-Ventoux (7 laps), Alpe d'Huez (5 laps), or Mont Pierce (3 laps) on Mount Royal. A multitude of challenges also await you in La Mauricie National Park.
