In the latest podcast from BONVÉLO , host Dominick Ménard interviews Marc-André Lebeau , the owner of our Bicycles Quilicot stores.
In 2005 , at 27 years old and managing a Sports Experts, Marc-André left his job and purchased the assets as well as the name Bicycles Quilicot , setting up shop on Masson Street. He would then open a second branch in Sainte-Thérèse and a third in Laval in 2012 .
In the following years, Marc-André made significant acquisitions, starting with Vélo Branché , a Plateau-based shop specializing in electric bikes. This was followed by Jo Vélo in Tremblant, and in 2020, the two Momentum Solutions Vélo stores, bringing the total to 7 , in addition to an online store .
The Quilicot team is now composed of 140 employees , including his son Anthony and his spouse Evelyne, who is a co-owner.
