Peggy Labonté is one of Quebec's most successful female triathletes today. Peggy trains hard and participates in several triathlon and duathlon events with great success. Her weapon of choice for cycling events? A Specialized Shiv!
« Since 2013, I've been riding a Specialized Shiv Comp with Shimano DuraAce Di2, straight from Bicycles Quilicot. I wouldn't change models for all the gold in the world! I spend so much time in the saddle that comfort is my priority. Sitting on my Shiv, I don't notice the miles passing because I'm so comfortable. This comfort is undoubtedly due to the many adjustment options that have allowed me to adapt my bike to my small frame.
As I compete in duathlon and triathlon, adjustments are important to reduce unnecessary strain on the bike and to transition efficiently to running. In addition, I also appreciate the aerodynamics of this machine. When I started riding the Shiv, I simply shattered my speed records! What a great feeling to cut through the air, especially when there are strong winds!
Even today, I am always impressed to see how much the designers have thought of every detail. I am thinking, among other things, of the integrated hydration system and the streamlined carbon frame. Above all, Bicycles Quilicot equipped my Shiv with an ultra-efficient Di2 electronic derailleur. I get particular pleasure on climbs because my gear shifters are close to the brake levers and at the end of the triathlon bars. It is therefore really easy and quick to change gears. It's a godsend, because the change is automatic, precise, and smooth. Finally, for me, the Specialized Shiv represents a high-end jewel for athletes who want a bike that is both comfortable and high-performance. »
