Experience Haute-Route France through the mythical Alps

In 2019 I took part in a Haute Route event in France for the first time. For me, the Haute Route Alpes was a dream, a goal to be reached and quite a challenge! I admit I was intimidated by this adventure through the mythical mountains of the French Alps. The Haute-Route experience allows you to climb the famous passes of the Tour de France, with names that capture the imagination: Alpe d'Huez, Bonnette, Galibier, Madeleine, Colombière, Aravis and many others.
And yet, the great passes of the Haute Route are mostly climbed by men. There are less than 10% women in the starting line-up. It got me thinking: where are all these women cyclists full of potential, courage, determination and stamina that I've been training or working with for so many years?
To all those who are thinking about it, hesitating and wondering whether the organization and the experience are worth it, I say a resounding YES!
The courses and landscapes are grandiose. The organization is extraordinary: you'll be dealing with enthusiasts who have planned everything to make this event a memorable one!
The Haute Route village with its morning espressos, massages and showers at the end of each stage. Full refreshments in the right places at the right times, and technical support on the road and in the village before and after. Evening meetings to prepare for the next day's adventure.
Precise, detailed GPS routes and on-course supervision to ensure that you can ride safely and enjoy every moment without worry.
Your luggage is transported and waiting for you when you arrive at each hotel. It's picked up each morning after breakfast. And there you have it: a thousand and one reasons to get started. You'll have no regrets, only good memories and the pride of having accomplished this extraordinary challenge: a week of Tour de France stages in the Alps.
The 2024 edition, to be held from August 25 to 31, will be my fifth participation in a Haute Route event. I agreed to become a Haute Route ambassador because I want to help as many cyclists as possible, especially women, to live this ultimate cycling experience. My role as ambassador is to help you prepare to take part in this magical event!
