In a booming bicycle market where the offer is diverse and the models numerous, buying a new bike can seem like a complex and confusing operation. Add to this the fact that manufacturers regularly offer new models thanks to numerous technological advances and new materials on the market.
Although there are several resources that can guide you to make the right choice, it is important to first ask yourself a few questions to determine your needs more precisely. In addition to your budget, this choice will be made based on the frequency of use and/or mileage, your riding style, your body type, and the type of use you plan to make of it.
Which model to choose? Should we rely solely on the advice of a salesperson in a shop or on the experience of the famous brother-in-law who knows it all? Whether you are an experienced cyclist or want to improve your physical fitness or stand out at your local cyclosportives, nothing beats a road test!
Did you know that, just like choosing a new car, it is possible to test ride your future bike? By testing a bike in real conditions, you will be able to get an idea before buying it. We all have our own criteria regarding comfort, rigidity, and lightness. Your judgment in such circumstances is worth all the analyses of an expert!
Aware of this, Bicycles Quilicot offers you the opportunity to test ride your next bike, not just in a parking lot, but on the road or in the mountains.
How test rides work:
You want to try a road bike:
In conjunction with our supplier Specialized, test rides are organized during which you can try various road or mountain bike models. The bike of your choice will be adjusted to your size, and if you have your pedals with you, they can be installed. These events generally take place at the end of the day in Laval, Montreal, or Sainte-Thérèse.
Mountain bikes
Testing a mountain bike is more complex for obvious logistical reasons. Indeed, if you want a mountain biking experience... you have to go to the mountains! We take care to select accessible locations for all levels so that everyone can test a bike safely, regardless of their skill level.
Bike rental :
It is also possible to rent a demo bike for a period of 24 to 48 hours, for a fee of $50 per day and a security deposit by credit card. Bicycles Quilicot has its own rental fleet with a choice of road, mountain, and cyclocross bikes.
If, following your test, you purchase a bike from us, the rental fees will be credited to your purchase invoice! This allows you to compare 2 or more models, depending on availability, before making your choice!
Receiving sound advice, having a wide range of bike models to choose from, and taking a test ride – that's "The Bicycles Quilicot Experience"!
