Employee spotlight: Marc-André, Rosemont's store manager
In our series of employee portraits, we invite you to take a behind-the-scenes look at Bicycles Quilicot and the people who make our company tick. Today we meet Marc-André, manager of the Rosemont store.

“My name is Marc-André and I'm back at Bicycles Quilicot after a few years in exile. I took the opportunity to complete my studies in teaching. I was a special education teacher in high school while pursuing a career in the arts. I was bored of working in the bicycle industry, and for me the choice was more than logical to return to Quilicot Masson. I've known Mar-André, Evelyne and Anthony, the owners, they're like family to me. ”
His favorite cycling practice
“I ride my gravel bike all year round, but what I love most is riding on the road. There really is something indescribable about going fast on two wheels, and I think it's a great definition of freedom. I did road racing and triathlon when I was younger, I've always loved playing with the body's limits and road biking takes me to beautiful zones in my head and in my heart.”
His favorite bike
“On the road, I ride a BMC Teammachine SLR one in ultegra DI2. It's really an exceptional bike! It's a war machine, yet really comfortable for long rides. I've rarely ridden such a versatile bike on the road! I also ride a Marin DSX in gravel, the perfect bike for fun in mud and snow!”
His must-have equipments
“If I had 3 essentials for an outing, it would first and foremost be friends! Sharing moments in the saddle is one of the most beautiful things in the world. We laugh, we pass each other, we chat, we go all out and we end it all with a little beer! In my opinion, that's the most important part of a great ride! Secondly, the Specialized Stix lights . It's important to be visible and I've had my lights for 6 years I think, they're indestructible! And finally, I've just changed my helmet for the Kask Protone , I didn't think it was possible to have something that comfortable on my head ! A really light and versatile helmet, I recommend it!”
Marc's recommendation
“That's a good question. I have lots of spots to ride and products that come to mind, but my best recommendation would be simply .....to ride! Cycling is the most beautiful sport in the world. We live in a dizzyingly competitive world where we put a lot of pressure on ourselves. Cycling can be a great way to push yourself, but also to have fun and let off steam. Whether it's in town on a hybrid bike, an electric-assist bike or a high-performance bike, I think you just have to keep in mind that riding is life, and life goes by fast, so you might as well make the most of it!”
