Employee Portrait: Jeanne, sales advisor at Mont-Tremblant
In our employee spotlight series, we take you behind the scenes at Bicycles Quilicot to introduce the people who keep our company moving forward.
Today, meet Jeanne—a cycling enthusiast whose passion runs deeper than just riding!
Introduction and Journey at Bicycles Quilicot
"My name is Jeanne Lambert, and I’m an experienced full-time advisor at Quilicot Mont-Tremblant. I’ve been part of the Quilicot family for six months now, ever since I moved from the city to the Laurentians. I’ve been working in the cycling industry since I was 16—and I’m now 30! "
Cycling Practice
“I’m absolutely CRAZY about cycling—that feeling of freedom after just a few pedal strokes, the rush of speed, the thrill of the ride, and the hills that challenge you to dance on the pedals. Cycling is the best! It keeps you fit and makes daily commuting so much easier. Honestly, what more could you ask for?
I enjoy road, gravel, and mountain biking—and I own a bike for each style.”
Favourite Bike(s)
“A tough choice—it’s impossible to pick just one! But my mountain bike is my ultimate ally. It climbs like a goat, and I love climbing—the harder it gets, the better! And as a bonus... it can handle any descent."
Essential Gear
“My must-haves? Hmm... At the risk of sounding extremely original, you need a flat repair kit. There’s nothing worse than being stranded far from home, in the rain, with a runny nose, and stuck next to a cemetery. Convinced yet?
Next up—FOOD. I’ve hit the wall so many times during rides or races.
You NEED fuel. Nuts, bars, gels—CLIFF, KRONO, MAURTEN
... anything works, as long as it keeps gas in the tank until the finish.
And last but not least—a rear light, day or night. Super important. There are so many distractions on the road, so let’s make ourselves as visible as possible. How much is your life worth? Definitely more than $100—so go get yourself a good light, ASAP!
”
Jeanne's Recommendation
“I’d say that if your budget allows, a good pair of carbon wheels makes a big difference. I like to tell people that
riding with quality wheels
feels like having a little push from behind—like someone placing their hand on your back and giving you a gentle boost.
Now, don’t get me wrong—it’s not a motor! In the end, the cyclist makes the difference. But it’s definitely a great upgrade for any bike. Once you’ve got your new wheels installed, I recommend taking a ride from Seize-Îles to Morin-Heights—you’ll get some solid climbs that’ll really heat things up! :)
But watch out on the descents—you’ll pick up speed quickly, and the corners can catch you off guard.
If you’d like more tips, feel free to stop by our Mont-Tremblant store—I’d be happy to chat bikes with you!
