Discover the Pinarello Dogma X

Pinarello recently unveiled a new version in its range, the Dogma X. This model is resolutely geared towards endurance but without compromising Pinarello's reputation for offering high-performance, responsive, and reactive frames. Discover the specific features of this new bike from the famous Italian brand here!

An endurance variant of the Dogma F

The Pinarello Dogma X is designed with a similar but slightly more relaxed geometry than the Dogma F, its flagship race-oriented model, and offers technical features aimed at achieving a balanced blend of performance and ride comfort. With rear seat stays designed to absorb vibrations without sacrificing stiffness or adding excessive weight to the frame, as well as increased tire clearance, this bike is designed for riders who enjoy covering miles without compromising performance. As the Dogma X is aimed more at everyday riders, its design is slightly different from bikes built for professional WorldTour racers, and the riding position will be a bit less aerodynamic. But even if you won't be tackling a Grand Tour anytime soon, the bike offers an enjoyable riding experience while maintaining the responsiveness needed to chase KOMs or ride with friends.

A more relaxed geometry

This bike features a more endurance-oriented geometry than other Pinarello models, striking a balance between high-performance capabilities and ride comfort. Compared to the race-focused Dogma F, it offers a shorter reach (-3.9 mm) and a higher stack (+15.4 mm). The overall shape of the bike is inspired by the Dogma F, with an aerodynamically optimized front end. The Dogma X also has quite long chainstays (422 mm), with the idea of creating a more stable ride. But thanks to the relaxed frame angles, riders don't have to choose between an overly aggressive riding position or adding multiple spacers under their stem, which can affect the bike's handling on turns, curves, or rougher roads.

A design oriented towards shock absorption

To better handle rough roads, the Dogma F frame can accommodate tires up to 35 mm wide. This is unprecedented for Pinarello, which has often stuck to very thin tires in its road bike range, but the Italian brand reminds us that in its recent successes, such as at Paris-Roubaix in 2022, Dylan Van Baarle used 32 mm tires to win. Wider tires that provide increased comfort are therefore not necessarily enemies of performance!

Also, the absence of suspension inserts in the frame, unlike other endurance road models, allows the bike to remain supple, light, and thus quite responsive. Instead, Pinarello introduces a geometric shape, the X-Stays, at the top of the rear triangle. As their name suggests, they are "X"-shaped and aim to reduce vibrations while increasing lateral stiffness. Of course, they have a unique and neat appearance, but that's not all. By using specific carbon fiber models and thinner, curved seat stays, Pinarello hopes to reduce vibrations and increase lateral stiffness, thereby minimizing vibrations transmitted to the lower back. The X-Stays, combined with wider tires, will provide the relief you need on long distances, without adding weight.

As for the frame composition, the Dogma X uses materials from the renowned Japanese carbon fiber company Torayca, specifically T11 1km, the same material used on the Dogma F. Torayca and its high-end composite have built Pinarello's reputation in recent years, with strong and super performing frames, and it is therefore logical that this partnership continues on this new bike.

Pinarello's high-end technology

The Dogma X features TiCR (Total Internal Cable Routing) technology for cable integration when used with MOST handlebars and stems. Hidden cables not only offer a cleaner look but also save approximately 5 watts, according to Pinarello. In addition, the bike is equipped with an Onda fork and incorporates the asymmetric frame design, Pinarello's true signature for many years. This design effectively counteracts the unbalanced forces on the drivetrain side, thereby optimizing the bike's overall performance.
