Rollers or direct-drive?
Rollers are excellent for warming up and working on technique. For precise intervals and ERG mode, a direct-drive trainer remains the simpler choice.
Zwift Cog & Click
A simpler way to manage virtual shifting, share one trainer between several bikes and reduce mechanical adjustments.

Who it's for
Beginners, multi-bike households, regular riders looking for a quiet and smooth setup, studios and small spaces.
Compatibility
Road, gravel and mountain bikes with common axle standards. Exact compatibility depends on the trainer, frame and setup used.
How it works
The trainer adjusts resistance to simulate the selected virtual gear. In ERG mode, the app automatically manages the target power.
Do you need Zwift?
Yes to use Cog & Click virtual shifting. Without Zwift, the trainer can still operate in the modes it supports.
Complete your setup
Accessories are an important part of the setup: they turn a trainer into a complete indoor training station.

View accessoriesFrequently asked questions
Answers to the questions that come up most often when choosing a smart trainer or indoor training setup.
Direct-drive or rollers : which is right for you?
A direct-drive trainer is easier for structured workouts, ERG mode, sprints and long indoor rides. Rollers place more emphasis on balance, pedalling smoothness and technique.
The right level : how much power and simulated gradient do you need?
For most cyclists, 1,500 to 2,000 W and a 15 to 18% simulated gradient already cover nearly every need. Higher figures are mainly useful for big sprints, virtual racing or very intensive use.
ERG : what is it for?
In ERG mode, the trainer automatically adjusts resistance to maintain a target power. It is especially useful for structured workouts and intervals.
Apps : do you absolutely need Zwift?
No. Most modern trainers work with multiple platforms. However, some features, such as Cog & Click virtual shifting, are designed specifically for Zwift.
Bike compatibility : is my bike compatible?
You need to check axle type, frame spacing, drivetrain, freehub body or the Cog system being used. If in doubt, our team can confirm compatibility before purchase.
Accuracy : how often should I calibrate?
It depends on the model. Many newer trainers offer automatic calibration, while others still use an occasional spin-down procedure.
Silence : how noisy will it be?
Modern direct-drive trainers are generally very quiet. Most of the noise often comes from the drivetrain, fan and vibrations transmitted through the floor rather than the trainer itself.
Practical choice : smart bike or trainer + your bike?
Using your own bike on a trainer costs less and remains very versatile. A dedicated smart bike or training frame is more convenient if several people use it or if you want to leave the setup ready at all times.
Still not sure?
Our team can help you choose the smart trainer or indoor setup that best fits your bike, space and goals.
