On Tuesday, May 20, Bicycles Quilicot Laval hosted the organization and some of the participants at a 5 à 7 event for the launch of the 7th edition of the 300km Bike Challenge for Life of the Fondation de la Cité de la santé de Laval.
Connecting the cities of Laval and Trois-Rivières, this benefit activity aims to raise funds for the Integrated Cancer Centre of Laval. All funds are dedicated to the cause. This year marks the 7th edition of the event, and 140 enthusiastic cyclists will make the round trip by bike between Laval and Trois-Rivières (325km) on September 6 and 7, 2014.
The 300 km Bike Challenge for LIFE is a joint initiative of Dr. Patrice Lamoureux and Ms. Lynda Bouchard, who works with the Council of Physicians, Dentists and Pharmacists (CMDP) of the CSSS de Laval and successfully battled breast cancer. Bicycles Quilicot is very proud to have been associated with the event since its second edition and is involved in several ways, including providing coaches, a broom wagon, and offering a Specialized bicycle worth $2000, which is raffled among participants.
Limited to 140 participants, a few spots are still available. This is a golden opportunity to get involved in the fight against cancer and take on a stimulating and enriching challenge in many ways! Every kilometer ridden and every dollar raised brings us closer to a cure for this terrible scourge! Help advance research in your own way and join the cause!
