Essai du Argon 18 Krypton Pro 2024 : Ma surprise de l’été
Écrit par : Marc-André Lebeau
Argon 18 engineers have really thought of everything
With a T47 bottom bracket for reliability, a standard 27.2mm seatpost, and half cable integration (SRS), this bike is designed for riders who want simplicity without compromising performance. This attention to detail is also reflected in the storage box integrated into the frame. Practical and aesthetic, it allows easy storage of repair equipment, which keeps the weight centered and low for better stability.
During my outing, I climbed more than 1700 meters over 105 km, crossing exceptional roads and some sections of macadam. Even on the roughest surfaces, the Krypton Pro absorbed shocks with ease. Its thin stays and the possibility of mounting 700x32 mm tires offer a perfect balance between performance and comfort.
This bike was a revelation for me
With its ability to go from road to gravel simply by changing tires, the Krypton Pro is ideal for those looking for an all-in-one bike. Of course, it does not replace a pure gravel bike like the Dark Matter from Argon 18, but for less technical gravel paths, it is perfect.
In conclusion, the Krypton Pro 2024 is a versatile and reliable bike, perfect for serious cyclists. Whether you're on the road or on the gravel, this bike will meet all your expectations. For me, it redefined what an endurance bike can offer. With the Krypton, you no longer need to choose between performance, comfort and versatility. You get it all in one bike.
