The pebbles around the Wasatch Range inspired the idea of a telescopic stem for fast, technical descents. It proved equally useful in the Flint Hills of Kansas, where pedaling efficiency was required, but short, steep descents proved just as technical. In keeping with the ethos that gravel products should provide more confidence, the 40mm height places riders in a more comfortable and manageable position for fast, more confident descents. The unique design makes the cartridge mechanism more reliable and easier to maintain in a 27.2 mm housing. What's more, the cartridge location allows the stem to be cut to the desired length, representing a potential weight reduction of 50 g from the original 395 g. For touring cyclists, this inverted dropper allows any size saddlebag to be fitted, without the need for special fasteners or attachments. Finally, with 25 degrees of saddle tilt adjustment and shims included for 30.9 mm and 31.6 mm seat tubes, the G Series Dropper seatpost is compatible with a wide variety of bikes.
