When Castelli created these new gloves, they started with a list of problems they wanted to solve with winter gloves. They wanted to create gloves that were warm without being too bulky, easy to put on and take off, made them as waterproof as possible without sucking in dry weather due to low breathability, and were also super comfortable.
So they innovated on every level, starting with the base fabrics: the windproof, water-resistant stretch outer shell is layered over an insulating PrimaLoft® Gold layer that makes them warm. They're made with an incredibly soft inner lining that won't get stuck even if your hands sweat. The zipper at the wrist allows the gloves to be opened almost completely to get on and off, and adjusted so you don't feel like you're wearing ski gloves, even though they're ideal for moderately cold temperatures.
